This article will walk you through the two steps of downloading and then installing Mylio for your Windows or Maccomputer.

Before starting, please review the hardware and software minimum requirements by clicking here. If you computer does not meet the listed requirements Mylio will not be able to be installed.

In this video, I talk about my initial setup of Mylio and how I am using it as 1 part of my drop #Adobe master plan. For more information about my switch vis. Mylio is designed to be signed into once, allowing you to skip entering your Mylio email and password every time you open the application. While Mylio does not have a traditional sign out option, you can easily unregister your account from Mylio on any device, allowing Mylio to be signed in to by another Mylio user.

To download, go to mylio.com and select the Download button in the center of this page.

Click “Download for Mac/Windows” to start the download of our setup file.

From here, the final step is to install the application on your computer. Depending on what type of computer you are using there are specific steps to follow. Please use the tabs below to follow the instructions for installing Mylio on either a Mac or a Windows computer.

Installing on Mac

  1. When the download is complete, locate and open the file named mylio.dmg. Generally, this will be located in your Downloads folder. You can easily get to your downloads folder by using the top Menu bar and selecting Go->Downloads
  2. When you have located the mylio.dmg file, double click it to start the installation.
  3. To complete the installation, use the window that appears to drag and drop the Mylio icon into the Applications folder to the right. If you already have an older version of Mylio installed a dialog window will appear, choose the “replace” option.

Mylio can now be launched from your Applications folder, or be added to the Dock and launched from there.

Installing on Windows

  1. When the download is complete, locate and open the file named setupmylio64.exe. Generally, this will be located in your Downloads folder. The Downloads folder for Windows can be found by opening a Windows Explorer window (click beige folder near the bottom of your screen).
  2. When you have found the setupmylio64.exe file, double click the file to open it. Click “Install” from the new Mylio setup window.
  3. Windows will ask you to allow this app to make changes on your device. Click “Yes”
  4. Click “Install” to install Mylio on your machine.
  5. Once completed, select “Launch” to open Mylio or open Mylio from the Start menu by clicking the Windows icon in the bottom right and typing Mylio to find it in your Applications list.

Mylio is designed to be signed into once, allowing you to skip entering your Mylio email and password every time you open the application.

While Mylio does not have a traditional sign out option, you can easily unregister your account from Mylio on any device, allowing Mylio to be signed in to by another Mylio user.

However, unregistering a device will completely remove the device from your account and also remove all Mylio information from the device you are using. Your photos will not be deleted. When signing in to Mylio after unregistering, you will be creating a brand new instance of Mylio that must re-sync information from all of your different sources.

Note: if you cannot sign into the Mylio client and need to unregister a device, you can do so from the account management website.

  1. Open Mylio on the device you would like to unregister.
  2. Open the Dashboard and navigate to the Devices panel to see a list of device’s registered to your account.
  3. Select the device that you would like to unregister to open that device’s Device Settings. Any device listed within this menu is eligible to be unregistered.
  4. Select Unregister Device at the bottom of the next panel and type in your account’s password to remove the device from your Mylio account.
Mylio Sign In

The device will be removed from your account. When opening Mylio again you’ll be asked to reset the device before you can sign in again with your Mylio email and password.
