If upgrading from macOS Sierra or later, macOS Big Sur requires 35.5GB of available storage to upgrade. If upgrading from an earlier release, macOS Big Sur requires up to 44.5GB of available storage.

VMware Fusion delivers the best way to run Windows on the Mac, and the ultimate development and testing tool for building apps to run on any platform. Ready for macOS 11.0 Big Sur, Fusion 12 supports macOS 10.15 Catalina and includes new features for developers, IT admins and everyday users. I have a problem with VMware Fusion 12 and macOS Big Sur Beta 10 (I’m not sure, if it occurred on earlier Betas or macOS Catalina, but I can tell that Fusion 11.5 and Catalina worked well with the same setup). Apple made some big changes to the way that Big Sur works, so Parallels had to do a major programming rewrite for version 16 simply to ensure that this new version would still run on Big Sur.
